How much better gas mileage does the Nissan Xterra 4x4 get than the Chevy Tahoe 4x4?

I am thinking of down grading to a Nissan Xterra 4x4 from my Chevy Tahoe 4x4. I am wondering how much better gas mileage the Xterra will get compared to the Tahoe? Any help would be great! Thanks!|||17 to 21 highway and much less around town 13 to 15 mpg so your really not saving very much fuel Boxy trucks just dont flow thru the air very well. Added weight of 4x4 and there you have it. You did not state if it was a 3.3 Liter 169hp. Engine or a 2005 and newer 4.0 liter motor 265hp the new motor is more powerful and just about the same MPG. By the way 2005 and newer Xterria's earned Motor Trend 4X4 of the year 2005 and 2006 they are real mountain goats. Only a bit thirsty.|||it depends on the year, the new chevy 327(5.3l) gets about 22 mpg and with a few mods (exhaust including headers, and an intake) can get 25 mpg. The new nissans typically don't get much beter than 13-14 mpg highway|||If you are talking about the Tahoe Hybrid that the Japanese bunch do not offer...NONE and made in America.

They do not offer Flex Fuel either.

Why buy something that further harms our economy????
