How come Nissan is underrated when compared to Toyota and Honda?

Nissan is part of the big 3. but mostly everyone talks about and gets the other two brands instead. Personally, I think Nissan looks way better than a toyota.|||CR doesnt rate appearance over safety, reliability, performance, service, and likely resale value.

And Subaru is rated 2nd after Honda in the latest CR testing. Toyota is 3rd, Mercedes 10th, GM 12th.

Mercedes and BMW were down rated bc of their reliability.

Nissan has always gotten consistenly lower marks in quality than Toyota and Honda. That's not to say they aren't good, just not as good overall as the other two.|||They dont even compare, nissan cars and trucks are FUGLY, worse millage, bad engineering, and just have about the same reliability as american cars.|||Generally Nissan has better performance but lack on fuel mileage and reliability when compared to the other two.|||Nissan still hasn't recovered from the Nissan-Datsun name change. A used Nissan however, is a good bargain.|||they might look better but they aren't as reliable
